The Music Icon Plays a Hell Version of Herself in Satirical Film Preview

The celebrated musician is preparing for a significant cinematic appearance in 2026, beginning with the satirical film titled The Moment.

In the film, she plays what she refers to as a dark version of her public image.

It’s the most authentic portrayal of the entertainment world that I’ve ever encountered, the star commented.

She clarified in a discussion: It’s far from a live performance documentary, however the inspiration originated from the expectation to make one.

A Sneak Peek into The Film

The initial preview, unveiled on this week, blends actual recordings from Charli’s Sweat tour with imagined behind-the-scenes moments.

The Moment is helmed and co-scripted by the director, who explained that the story centers on a world where Charli made entirely different choices during the promotion of her hugely successful record Brat.

A Busy Movie Lineup

This project is a single one of several future film appearances for the musician, who already featured in three independent movies recently.

Furthermore played herself in the comedy series Overcompensating.

Future Ventures

The following year will also feature the star with Olivia Wilde in romantic thriller I Want Your Sex, Natalie Portman in creative industry mystery The Gallerist, and Barbie Ferreira in scary reboot Faces of Death.

She also signed on to star in the actress’s maiden directing project A Tree in Blue.

I’m deeply appreciating my cinematic path, Charli shared. I feel very, very inspired currently in acting, and I always want to do things that inspire me.

Musical Contributions

Next February will also include the launch of the filmmaker’s adaptation of Wuthering Heights, which will include new music from the artist.

She is also set to provide music for the drama Mother Mary, starring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, set to be released in the coming year.

The film is set to premiere on 30 January.
